2022 Scholarship Winner

2022 Allan’s Wish Foundation Scholarship Recipient

We are happy to announce the 2022 Allan’s Wish Foundation’s Scholarship Winner is Macy Snyder who graduated from Glidden-Ralston High School in Iowa.

At Glidden Ralston- Macy maintained a 3.6 GPA while working at The Dairy Mart, Attic Eats, and Carroll Broadcasting. Sports were a main part of her high school career as she competed 4 years in volleyball, basketball, softball, two years in track, and one year in golf. Macy earned multiple awards including an honorable mention for basketball and softball in addition to first-team all conference.

Even with this full schedule, Macy was elected to be student council VP her junior year and then later became President. She was part of FFA for two years before becoming the reporter for her chapter and was also part of Spanish Club. No surprise that Macy was inducted into the National Honor Society her junior year as she had passion around extracurriculars and academics!

Macy will be attending Drake University Fall of 2022 with the goal of being a child therapist. We are SO PROUD TO SUPPORT MACY in this future endeavor!

In Macy’s own words “Mental health is something that has affected me and so many other people. My therapist helped me to overcome a difficult situation, change my life for the better and grow as a person. My goal is to become a therapist to help children with their struggles like mine helped me. This scholarship will help me to achieve this goal and I would like to thank Melissa Stitz and everyone at the Allan’s Wish Foundation for giving me this opportunity.”

Macy- all of us at Allan’s Wish Foundation have no doubt your journey is JUST BEGINNING! Congrats – we are so PROUD OF YOU and know that Allan would be as well.
